I don't want to sound mean, but honestly, forget it kid.
He's a regular person, just like every other actor, who's just doing his job. I know every pre-teen girl wants to marry him, and so does he. Because of this, there is no easy way to meet him, or else he'd have stalkers.
To go through the channels to ask him something, you'd probably go through the studio, to his agent/PR person.

He's too busy shooting movies and filming plays to come to America.
But if you can make it to London, you may be able to meet him at his stage production of Equus, which opens soon. Stage actors will commonly meet fans outside the stage door and sign autographs. I can't guarantee he'll do it, but many actors do.

in case you write him a fanmail, he will likely deliver one back, i have executed so in the previous, gotten some autographed photo. or you could continually fly to nyc and level door for him outdoors the theatre he's in.
