I have a strong sense that I have a very important purpose in life, and it's near me, but I can't find out what it is.
What are some ways someone could discover their purpose in life?
Have you found yours?

I was thinking about switching my major over to philosophy. I am a good writer and have a very deep interest in it. Unfortunately it is a leap from my previous major, pre-med. What are some career options that can come out of a degree in philosophy? What are some schools with good philosophy programs? Any other information would be greatly appreciated..

This afternoon granfather found the mutilated body of Puff in his backyard. He screamed Spot did it, Spot did it. Police have determined from the condition of the body that it was probably a hate crime. Police are baffled of who could have committed such a horrible crime. Dick said that he had been riding his bicycle all day. Mother said Sally slept most of the afternoon, but did go outside to play for a while. Father was at work, but mother had called him and they said that he had left early. Grandfather claims he had been fishing most of the afternoon. Mother said she was home all day doing house work. Grandmother said she called mother during the day but there was no answer. Puff had no known enemies, but it was a well known fact that grandfather did not like animals.Jane was questioned but was vague with her answers. There were fresh paw prints close to Puffs body but Spot would often play in the backyard. Did Spot do it?

I like the answers in this section... they're a lot more thought out than the ones found in the Singles & Dating part.

My boyfriend and I let go of a serious relationship about 3 months ago due to distance. He still called me on the phone every few days, because we agreed to be friends. Last week, he sent me this long love letter asking me if I still loved him- he told me he cries at night, and a bunch of other cute mushy gushy stuff. He was incredibly passionate, so much that it actually seemed like he'd never get over it. I believed it- because he was always like that.
I told him we had to let go, if not for the time being; it'd be easier, and if we're meant to be we'll get back together.
Then he sent me another telling me he couldn't let go- the letter was even more passionate than the first. It sounded a little obsessive, but knowing him, it sounded like he'd never get over it.
Last night he called me at 1 AM. He started complaining about things, but didn't even mention the letter he wrote me.

important than the feeling or inclination to behave justly?for example, sometimes perhaps we are all prone to feelings of envy or jealousy or some such trait , but it is in the concious rational overcoming of that emotion that determines our character and worth,so that acting in envy makes you lesser but experiencing envy but recognising how wrong and destructive and cruel it would be to act on it makes you better and more?so if someone does good merely because they feel like being good at that moment is intrinsically less valuable as it is arbitrary and capricious while someone who always conciously chooses the good is more valuable as they have made a lofty decision to do so?okay crazy insane question I know!!and not based on any university prescribed ethics!
