is there any reason I enjoy being around people with problems and the second I get happy it just kind of goes away. I hang out with cutters, anerexic people, people with screwed up familys, and then I hang out with the one perfect girl who makes me jealous and makes me want to cry(i never cry though)HELP ME!?!
I also want to be a therapist..i think it may have something to do with me thriving on being around problemed people. I still like helping ppl but i think my little problem has something to do with it.

Just as Genghis and his cronies effectively killed themselves off.

Their capital Karakorum was levelled.

I see the concept of choice based on higher causing, i mean it's like a tugged war, the side with the stronger force wins and so the rope goes to that side, it would be illogical for the side with the weaker force to win. Comparing this to decision making... When we make a choice, we have many reasons for and against it, if both causes, or sides of the decision (to do it or not) are quite equal than you have a dilema, if one side of the war is much stronger than the other, than that side will win quicker and easier, just like in a decision... Do you want to die... straight away you would probably say yes because theres a much higher causing for you to want to live, You might not understand me. You need to think.

The biggest problem in the argument over abortion is deciding when life begins. Christians say it's at conception, others say at birth, others pick a point in the middle. Unfortunately that debate is unsolvable.
However there are air tight arguments for abortion in the cases of rape, underage pregnancy, and if the mothers life is in danger. (see Judith Jarvis Thompson's Violinist argument for abortion)

I'm curious if anyone thinks they have an argument that good for abortion in a general case.

Unfathomable Advancement

Can you imagine a world free of disease or hunger? How about flying cars and space ships? These are just fantasies, right? They are only dreams now, but what if all the worlds people came together and shared all their vast knowledge with one another? How long then would it be before major advancements are made in all fields of technology? Our governments are always trying to “up” each other and in doing so they are failing to see that shared knowledge compliments itself. It is time to join hands and work together towards a brighter future.

According to Maslow's law, we need to satisfy basic needs like air, water, food, sex before we can satisfy 'higher' needs. However, monks and nuns are celibate, yet they are still leading normal lives. Does that mean Maslow is incorrect, or did I misinterpret his theory wrongly?

The Washington Post has an article out focusing on a scientist that believes that within the next 20 years medicine and technology would allow people to live for over 1,000 years. Mind you, this is not as vegatables, but with the body of a young adult. My question....how do you feel about this?
