Well, can I offer two?

1. Serendipity: the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for; also : an instance of this. Or the adjective: serendipitous. Unfortunately I don't get to use it as often as I'd like.

2. Schadenfreude: a loan-word from the German: pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune (we don't have one word in English to describe this rather repulsive human emotion, but I'll bet it's a feeling that we've all had - more than once.

OK, I can't resist:

3. sesquipedalian: given to or characterized by the use of long words.
I like the irony of the (bad) habit of using unnecessarily long words being described by an unnecessarily long word.

Based on the many times a day I have said it for the past 30 years, the scrutiny I get from my colleagues, and the laughs I get from my students and children on a daily basis, I would say that my favorite word is the "F" word.

Tomahawk. It's the nickname for a Navy cruise missile. I'm a military fiction author and can't go 5 pages without using that word. It's a noun and a verb. (Tomahawk Sector Sierra One Fiver.)
