Hello Rena, I like to think I do! sometimes it's hard to answer these kind of questions because my past was so scrabbled and a mess, it has taken alot for me to get where I am today. I mean I did drugs for a long time and was distant from the world for so long that right now I am still trying to figure some things about me and why I am who I am and who I used to be, sometimes they clash and I find myself so confused, like when I did drugs I was never afraid of anything seriously, I did whatever I had to do, I still feel strong and I would never go back to that me, but I was more approachable then I am now, it's like there are two of me and one is bad and one is good, so weird I know but when most of your life is wiped out of your memory because of drugs, you lose yourself somewhere and it turns into this constant battle of good vs evil in myself. So I like to think so but it's something I am working on to be honest.

Well being mostly older than the rest of these guys /gals here.. you reall y find the deepest level when you have capped off the higher layer. You start out young..knowing what you think you want and who you want your life to be shared with. But there are lots of levels to life. Starting after you leave home..Course the higher levels are when you are a child thats one. Teen age...two.. college three..Ok I was on the third level getting married and havin kids..I think my fourth level is when my children got married and left home. So Rena I am in my fifth level..not quite deep but gettin there. When you get to the sixth level You will know what you have done, what you have seen will prepare for you that life is great and that your existence on earth has impacted what you have done for those you love. The deepest level is for only yourself to figure out. Mine is still on hold. But understanding more now than what I did at level four..

I don't know, and none knows. Because, knowledge of anything is a property of the knower and not the known. So the moment I know who I am at the deepest level, it becomes something else and not me.
Whether I know at the peripheral level or at the deepest level that this thing before me is a computer, that knowledge is in me and not in the computer.

Not quite because the deepest level of my existence has not yet been reached. I am only in my half-way and therefore only knew half of my existence. It is hard to tell unless i have cross the bridge.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Ha, I've figured it out. In the end, I am who I want me to be. Only problem with this is that who I want to be is totally dependant on who I am :). Perhaphs there is some gene or something we are born with that gives us a predisposition towards a certain way of acting. Perhaps it is actually the people around us that shape who we are, even to our deepest core. When your around alot of nice people, your a nice person (usually) and vice-versa. It all comes down to what you believe, which is dependant on who you are.

Now I do, yes....but it took much exploration and self
introspection over the years to get there. The more you
risk in your life, the more you find out who you really are...
under many circumstances and I've risked a lot..albeit
calculated and not just whimsical. You need to see the
depths and the heights, no matter how uncomfortable,
to see your real reactions. This entails taking many
chances and stepping out of the box as much as
possible. In the long run, it's very satisfying to introduce
yourself to yourself and form that eternal bond.

I believe so to a certain extent. I know what existence is and such yet there are more factors which involve me in the question asked. I believe that one should know who he or she is from their roots or existence therefore the person knows itself well and such. I believe that I know myself being in a deep level of existence yet I could not know everything since I am still learning. I could only know so much therefore you do not know yourself sufficiently until one does some soul searching and maturity.

Those are two separate things. Existence is the active use of knowledge to create experience and an outside world (subject/object - observer/observed). What we 'are' can not be know and does not 'exist' in any way we can understand as it is not reachable through the knowledge we are using to create 'existence'. We 'are' and have no way of knowing what we 'are' because that knowing creates existence which is the reflection of what we 'are' and not WHAT we 'are'.

No, b/c there is always something more profound as we seek self-improvement. I wouldn't want to be at my depth now, what if I live to be 90+ like some of my other family members? I would have another 50+ years of boredom, having reached my potential early...
Just when you think you've arrived, something happens to show you, you aren't there, that's what I believe. Can't prove it, but that's where Faith comes in.

Through suffering and adaptation of experiences in life, yes, I came to pretty much know who I am. I'm pretty much always in the same mood; good. I'm always available to others; open.
I then got deeper inside, by thinking, reflecting on knowledge!
It's possible to know oneself, as I studied all and meditate, surely it's gotten me to know myself much better, I'd say, than many people... Take care!
