We have this report and our teacher asked us to provide a movie. help me please. Mencius' philosophy is about man is basically evil and what makes him good is through education and neglect negative influences. I need a title of the movie, a FREE downloadable file from the net or if that movie is popular, i might find it in video stores. Please help, I beg you...my time is running. This is my last hope. Please help.

People are always asked to be proud of their culture and heritage - this could mean anything from their race, ethnic group, nationality, linguistic group, caste, etc.

Why does one have to be proud about something that he did not chose?

I'm proud of my adchievements that I made possible with my own efforts. I have lived obeying the laws of the society and paid back through my services for the protection it offers me. Why should I feel thankful and proud? Why does everybody feel that they should defend their culture?

Isn't the whole concept of culture serving to divide people by pitting one group against the other? If everybody considered themselves as individual first and last wouldn't there be more peace in the world?

It seems more than Success and Infallibility, its the fallibilism that keeps the interest going. Is this the Divine Art performed by God puposefully to keep things moving with interest ?

The uncertainties of this way or that way seems more glamourous than the fixed way ..

Is this "Thou Divine Art That" ?

You leave work on a Friday afternoon after a stressful, tiring day at the office. It's a chilly, wet, windy winter's day, but the sun smiles down on you through a gap in the dull, overcast sky, warming you with its warm rays, and a bird sitting on the branch of a nearby tree offers you a song as if to herald in the two days of rest and recuperation which stand before. The frown leaves your face, the weight drops from your shoulders and a feeling of elation covers you like a warm blanket.

Yes I'm a christian and I believe in heaven and I worship GOD and JESUS but. BE HONEST is not our darkest fear and havent you atleast once thought about it? Dont make this a religous debate just be honest. It is a normal inquiry. and the reason we dont want to die is because how will people visit us when were in the groung? its weird to me to even look at someone dead and then imagine what I will look like dead and if I will be aware in any way? I want a lap top and my cell burried with me just in case. Whats your input?

In Plutarch's life of Tiberius Gracchus, there is a section in which Tiberius is trying to get rid of Marcus Octavius as a tribune in order to pass his bill about land reform.

I was really really hoping that someone on here has read Plutarch's Life of Tiberius Gracchus and could give me some insight on the two sides of the arguement (for/against the deposition of Octavius).
