I belive the meaning of life is that...You come into this world with nothing..and you definetly dont take anything with you when you leave...so you have time in between...what you do inbetween those 2 major events (your life and your death). show's who you are and what kind of person you were, and what youre going to be remembered like when you die and people think about you...you should ask yourself "when I leave this world are people going to think of me in a spitful way or are they going to think of all the beauty my life held and smile at what a wonderful person I was". but then you have to understand. As young people in present day america we feel as though we're invincable. for instance...when you eat a salad out of the already packaged already washed bag of mixed salad do you wash it? no, most people dont. Is there a chance that the salad holds deadly E.Coli. Yes...so why not wash the salad just to be safe? becuase not very many people (including myself) stop to think about these things at the moment theyre happening. You're not promised tomorrow. You're not even promised the minute it's taking you to read this very sentance at this very moment as you sit in that very chair. NO. there is no guarantee. If you leave right now...RIGHT NOW....what will people think, or say? Will they be Joyful in your memories...or will they joyful that youre out of their way...its something to think about

Meaning of life and "rules to live by" are two completely different subjects.
What is the meaning (function) of a well designed Samari sword, or a bird with large eyes and a head that will turn 350 degrees, or ANY devise or creation on this earth? It is here to please itself. Nothing more. It takes great joy in being whatever it was designed to be.
The conflict in life comes when that device/creature attempts to go against its intended purpose and fails to find enjoyment or fulfillment. Then, all of the perfection of design and purpose is defeated.
A Samari sword is not happy serving duty at his masters table slicing butter for his toast. It is made and meant for killng. Aything less and it starts to ask the question "what is the meaning of my life"

Life has no meaning. We don't choose to live in the first place. In most cases, we are conceived accidentally. And our lives are largely, if not entirely, determined by factors beyonds our control. So why should we think our life has some kind of ultimate meaning?

That is 2 different questions.
The meaning of life? Live it, till you die. It doesn't mean anything.
Rules to live by? The biggest troublemaker you will ever have to deal with, stares at you in the mirror every morning.

It can mean whatever you want it to mean. If you value material things, go for that. If you think family and love of your fellow man are more important, invest your time and energy in them. Do whatever makes you most content, not what someone else would have you do. You only live once.

Life has no inherent or constant meaning. It is ever-changing and is subjective, depending on each individual. We decide for ourselves what our lives mean.
