If you believe the Bible you have to wonder how God made man so imperfect! Theologians will mumble something about the fall of Adam and Eve, the original sin, free will, all that, but that doesn't really answer the question, at least for me.

I have always thought God designed Adam and Eve deliberately with the curiosity to eat the fruit. I mean leaving them alone with the 'Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil' was like leaving a 4-year-old alone in a room with a wedding cake. What did God expect?

But it didn't end there. God eventually got so frustrated with the human race that he wiped them out! He drowned them all like rats, even the relatively innocent ones. Trouble is, rather than create man all over again, a new, improved model, he picked six people from the original population to seed the new population. What was he thinking?

A few centuries later, God tried something different. He spoke to one man. He tested him to see if he'd kill his own son because 'a voice' told him to. When Abraham passed the test, God made a deal with him--follow me and I'll put your descendants in charge of the whole works. Abraham even had to leave his home, leave behind his bad habits, his drinking buddies and the weekly poker game.

A few centuries later, God's people had become slaves! He watched them in slavery for about 600 years, then led them out of slavery where, immediately, they forgot all about him. As soon as they were free they were worshipping idols and sleeping with each other's wives. 8^P What's a God to do?

So then he sent Jesus. Well we all know what happened there.

Since then, God doesn't talk to us. Can you blame him?

How about thinking along these lines
So He made the world and man and rats and elephants and, and, and, and...
There must be a reason why he did it. He created people, well I guess thats ok. Dogs and cats and plants and fish, well thats OK too. But He also created roaches that lived from before the jurassic age till now, and will probably continue to live another million years. And He created mosquitoes - the biggest killer on earth. And droughts and earthquakes that destroy people and property.
What theheck is His Grand Design??
I believe We are too puny to question His grand design.
We don't question Bush, or Einstein, or mother Theresa about their grand design. We accept it for what it is. Einstein will give complex formulas that the majority of the human race just accept as the real truth and accept it for what it is. Bush will give some ****** up story and force people to accept it ( well he's still in office) and perhaps Mother Theresa will not even answer you but we all accept her goodness and never question her motives. And these are just PEOPLE. and we accept THEIR grand design.
And you want to question GOD?

It is true at the time of Noah God did repent he made man because no family would raise their kids to do right. The world was filled with violence and so was their hearts. But Noah was the only one that trusted in God and his heart was filled with goodness and peace.

So when you read Genesis 6 you think God admits even He made a mistake. But that is the way God is. He faults himself when really man was the one that chose to sin. Not God. That is why God represented himself on the cross for sinful man. He took all the sins of a sinful world and placed them upon himself (as Jesus Christ), so that all mankind would be free of sin and become reconciled back to God's holiness.

I had never thought of Noah like that until just now. All because of your question. For that I thank you.

If God made a mistake he would admit it.He is just a more perfect version of humans..and therefor he is honest. But God did not make a mistake..its just that his perfect idea to a few wrong turns..none of which were his fault. The humans are at fault. He doesnt control humans he only guides them.

The Bible says : Genesis 6:5-8
5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Genesis 6:13
13And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Later God Repented having Destroyed Man and All Living Through Flood: Genesis 8:21,22

21And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

The Next Time God Destroys Man and All Living It Will Be With Fire.

~These few verses illustrate God's anger towards mans wickedness and his reluctance for creating this world and man -- he admitted it --

The mistake is the desire to transfer responsibility for events to a higher power. This has the short term benefit of easing inner tension and stress at the fifth level of consciousness, while abandoning the higher levels to the priesthood.

The priesthood say thank you for your obedience and, most of all, your donations. The anointed live in ease while the ordinary people sacrifice all the way up to fighting religion inspired wars.

Well according to the Bible, in Noah's time, God decided to destroy the world. I think that is an act of admitting that he made a mistake. But as the story goes on, Noah was a righteous man, therefore saved the human race.
