and not some guy

Hey can you read this intro. paragraph for me and tell me if it sounds ok. I'm not sure I like the first part but I'm not so sure about the rest of it.

I have always thought there was only one type of love, which is that feeling of overwhelming liking to someone else. I am aware that lust does exist and that it is seperate from love, being that the desire for someones body rather than their mind. In Plato's Symposium, Plato speaks of many different types of love, loves that can be taken as lust as well. He writes of six different points of view on love, coming from the speakers that attend Agathon's dinner party. Although all the men have excellent arguements on their definitons of love, it is Socrates who gives the best definition of all. Socrates gets his definition from a woman named Diotamia.

I could use all the help I can get so if anyone has any ideas on how to improve this please let me know. Thanks!

I came to the conclusion that we don't usually make any "one time" mistakes, but it's parts of our behaviour that describe us, that are a part of us, untill we realise the wrong and change it. So most of the mistakes we make in life are, in a way, a part of our lifestyle, separated in periods, just like the good things we do.

So, what is signifiant about your lifestyle, how would you define it in little words?

Only love lasts.....
The fame of the world, the applause given to the one who speaks with the tongues of men and of angels, who attracts admiration and compels attention, it is all given to what is passing, it is really worthless, if it lacks that God quality......LOVE???

If it only takes 1/30th of a second for human conciousness to recognize an image for what it is, e.g. a picture of a banana, a bicycle, a tree, whatever...AND an image shown any faster than that will not be perceived as anything other than a flash of light...then what is the meaning of the memory of your life?

It is one thing to see value in changing certain things from our past, but is there any value in distorting the history books.

In other words, are there any deletions, additions or blatant distortions that would benefit our impressionable younger generation. Would humaneity gain any advantage from a "clean slate" or would we gain something from purposeful distortions that are designed to "correct" certain historical truths that are misleading.

Is honesty always the best policy?
