Wow, never heard that one before. Perhaps, in a sense, it does: after all, the Iranians want peace, but they want to destroy the U.S. and Israel. Russian wants peace, but they want to destroy China, the U.S. and Israel. And so forth.

War is the violent manifestation of man's most basic of survival instincts: Competition for resources.
Peace is the more civil and less intense exercise of this competition.
