A decent life? Having close, loving family and friends. Good health. Work that you enjoy or at least pays the bills. Good food and a warm home. On second thought, that is not a decent life, that is an incredible life! Compared to the millions of people on this earth who live in squalor, fear for their lives, and wonder if they will live to see tomorrow...

A decent life is one that provides you food, nice shelter, a good job, and enough money to pay bills and a little for savings. A decent life is one with good health, family, love, and good friends. A decent life is to live the best you can without hurting others, treating others with the kindness you would like in return, and dying with dignity knowing you did the best you could.

Decent life to me is having a life wherein you get to be normal and to be happy, confused, depressed once in a while. It is a life where you wish for more but you are thankful that you arent in a worse situation. But a decent life is not a great life.

Waking up and knowing that you aren't going to hurt someone else through actions and words and if you did do so previously you plan to apologize. Not debasing your self in public or private, caring for your animals, letting Mum have the last word, and not breaking the reasonable laws of society. Making a concerted effort to be kind and considerate without being stupid and never thinking you can't learn something every chance you can.

it depends on from what point you look at it from
i think, to be satisfied with the life you have made for yourself is something that you have created with meaning and that if not benefits the society or leaves an imprint in this world, then you life has not harmed the societ.
But the word decent throws me off.
what is decent? not smoking/drugs is decent but so is philathropy. what level of it are you looking for?

A life that YOU are happy with, not one that others say you should be happy with. So to answer your question in a sentence
'a decent life is a happy life'.

having a family that loves you, friends that care about you, and a strong relationship with God. material things don't make up a decent life, because nothing material ever lasts. The power of love God has given us can and will surpass anything, and help us live out our lives the way he wants us to live them.

A guy who, if he's interested, will show it, no matter who's around. and who'll say he loves you, only if he means it, and only often enough for it to be believable. and who knows how to have fun but can keep it in control. Somone who opens doors and treats his girlfriend how she deserves to be treated. and who would never cheat, but if they do make that mistake, will apologize a million times and not expect their girlfriend to take them back, but will still want her to. and who can be a friend as well as a boyfriend. A guy who will get a little jealous, but only because he cares so much. A guy who'll take care of his girl and be just a tiny bit bossy when his girl is making bad decisions. Someone who's understanding when people make mistakes and isn't quick to anger. and who will be protective but not overly possesive of his girlfriend.

Not influencing anyone else's life in a negative way, that should be a start. The rest is up to you, your own morality and parameters. It is important to feel good about yourself, therefor you must follow what you think is right
