if you were happy allll of the time... happiness would become meaningless without anything to eventually RELATE it to....

if you were miserable allll of the time... sorrow and pain would eventually become meaningless also.

Without RELATIVITY there is nothing.

What would be the POINT of burning in hell FOR ALL ETERNITY?

I mean... seriously

Real sex is the product of the perception of our world through our five sences. Dream sex is the perception of the world through our subconsous mind. Masturbation is the deliberate involvement of our conscious mind in the perception of the sex/fantacy. All lead to the same, orgasm. Why then is the highest value placed on real sex? You can trick the mind through hypnosis to achieve the same effect.

I had a friend, for example, who had a breakdown, when his wife literally "ran away with his best friend." Neither would ever say how it happened or why they did this to him.
Should a friend be ethically bound to explain his or her reason to another friend, if the first decides to end a relationship? What IS ethical in these situations? What is fair, decent, just?

people will say stupid things like "we can never know"

you only have two ideas: that you only exist and this is all a dream by your subconcious (solipsism), or the matrix idea which is cartesian skepticism.

but if you read wittgenstein you will see how language itself would not be possible and would not exist if those idea were true. the very fact that you can have a lanaguage ant hink linguisticaly shows that there are other minds. because on mind cannot create a language.

however the ideas are said to be "disprovable". but the theories are self refuting and the theories only hold on the grounds that nothing can be proved EMPERICALY accept for "i think thereefore i am". it just an emperical technicality

try and assure yourself of what exactly the word "know" means, do we know anything? About anything? Is anything definate? Words are just symbols of communication, they mean nothing.

it seems like we are born so that we pass on our ideas to future generations, nothing else. Therefore the body is only to sustain the mind, which in turn creates ideas that surpass the physical being.

Sex is over in two minutes, they carry a weight for a good part of 9 months, the birth is traumatic, physically demanding and painfull, the hormones are shot, for a good part of the next two yrs, they have to wipe, wash, get sucked, clean up after teh baby, but yet they do it over and over again. As a man it makes no sence to me. I like the sex part of it though

shown false and self refuting to itself, but it can NOT be proven wrong EMPERICALY. then is it still declared disprovable?

would this be like the idea of solipsism or cartesian skepticism? (both a re universaly known to be self refuting yet disprovable)

If someone was about wipe out all of your memories from your entire life but offered to let you keep all your memories of one single person, who would it be? Why?

One person. Remembering your mother means you would not remember your father and vice versa. (Don't ask me how it works, its magic.)

i wanted to be...

i wanted to be a puppy
playful as i was
and hugable as i seemed
she wouldn't even look at me

i wanted to be the sun
i wanted to warm her
but she refused
she wouldn't accept it
waiting instead for the sun to set

i wanted to be her neighbor
thinking it was a way to get closer
when i did, she moved and well...
well now i'm here all alone
waiting for the moment when she'll return

Initially I saw a yahoo question asking why someone could enjoy being in a casino when they knew they were destined to lose eventually. It made me want to answer with "why live life if you're eventually going to die?" But, I decided that is actually an interesting question in of itself. What should be ones goal or creedo in life? How do you evaluate ones life when they pass on? How would you want someone to evaluate your life?

So first I must ask... how many of you like your jobs..

2nd. How many of you feel miserable about the idea that you have to goto work everyday

3rd. Do you work 8 hours a day 5 days a week?

so I love the work that I do but I just cannot stand the fact that I HAVE to be somewhere 5 days a week 8 hours a day. most of the time I feel miserable about this fact.

Now this sucks.. if any of us actually feel this way that means in the end.. we have spent the majority of our lives miserable..
