Why should there be a difference between a wet dream, masturbation and real sex ?

Real sex is the product of the perception of our world through our five sences. Dream sex is the perception of the world through our subconsous mind. Masturbation is the deliberate involvement of our conscious mind in the perception of the sex/fantacy. All lead to the same, orgasm. Why then is the highest value placed on real sex? You can trick the mind through hypnosis to achieve the same effect.

All roads do lead to orgasm. However, "real sex", as you put it, is the most important outside of orgasm. If one needs or desires an orgasm It can be obtained in any manner. Like you said, you don't need anybody else. But, there is more than one person on the planet and God created us to be interdependent.

I have a theory that sex in the Garden of Eden, before the fall, was the highest form of communication & spiritual union between two people. I think we experience a watered down version of it. At the same time we place a high value on it i also think we treat it pretty cheaply. Anyway, when we have dream sex, we don't usually dream about masturbating, we dream of making love with someone else. It gets dicy when a relative shows up, however. Blech! But what i mean is, we want the other person. When we masturbate we don't fantasize about kitchen appliances or computers, we think of other people. People who have monogamous sex regularly, have happier marriages, live longer, are healthier, are more content in general, etc... We are hard wired to know that sex with someone else has the most value. I can always have an orgasm.... I want him. Now i just hope he shows up.

If you manipulate the mind with hypnosis it is being tricked into or out of something. In certain instances the mind is in a bad place and needs to get out and in others a deception can be put in place of what a mind knows to be good and true. The difference is that when hypnosis gets rid of a 'bad' thing, the mind will know it's better and not revert back to that state. When hypnosis tries to fool the mind out of something good & true, it will find it's way back to that state naturally.

You are amazingly intelligent & sensitive. I hope you threw this on the table as something for us all to explore not because you actually assign the same values to all three scenarios of sex you put forth. You'd be too good in bed to waste this theory on yourself. Are you considering giving up women? Don't experiment on yourself. I really enjoy your mind and your q & a's.

I agree that they all achieve the same results, however real sex involes another person and for most men and woman connecting with another person on that level binds the two together for a period of time. Some people even say for life. Much like some tribes believe that a photo can take a piece of your soul, having sex with someone leaves a part of your heart with them, where as wet dreams and masterbation do not have this higher level of connection.

Well I think we place value in real sex because of bragging rights. It's an ego trip, you can't brag on how good your wet dream was without getting funny looks. The same goes for masturbation. You can trick the mind through many things yet you still can't say you hit that like it's never been hit before in a dream or through masturbation!

Because reality isn't based on just your perception alone. As long as you don't want to live in your own little box, you have to acknowledge that everything does not exist within your own little world and that there is a world that exists outside of yourself that you cannot always control. Other perceptions exist, and we live to interact with them. This is partly what real sex is and what separates it from wet dreams and masturbation.

When you engage in intercourse, you are sharing yourself, your energy, and your bodily fluids, with another person. It's not 'all about you'.

you cant catch the clap from yourself, wet dreams arent real and sex involves another human being. the first two mean nothing in this world because who wants to be alone? sex is so highly valued because you have to not only find someone else to have sex with, but then figure out a way to get this person to get naked and have sex with you. the other two anyone can do.

Sorry, but it just doesn't feel the same - I enjoy giving pleasure too - I mean, the ultimate goal is orgasm for BOTH during sex - you can't achieve that in your mind. And, MY HAND doesn't feel as good as her vagina - penetration is a NECESSITY to a good climax!
