Why do some when asked a question, instead of answering the question try to prove their assumption of their superior intellect by the way that they answer while managing to disregard and ignore the original question?

What is the need that is fulfilled by this behaviour?

A philosophy of change and resistance. If achieving happiness, peace or joy can be accomplished through changing yourself, your beliefs, or your thinking, are you willing to change to accomplish those goals?

If you are unwilling to change what is required to bring about these states of being, do you notice if you resist accomplishing these goals?

Let's say it's stopping the serpent from tempting Eve and Adam. Or maybe getting the chance to destroy the gene that causes violence, hatred, bigotry and other evils. Would you fix it? Or do you think we'd be messed up even more?

Humans communication is approximately 90% non-verbal, split down into approximately 60% facial emotion and 40% body language. This 90% of communication can take the form of subconscious ques or emotional ques, but we take this communication too much for granted.

For example a Pervasive Developmental Disorder (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) called Aspergers Syndrome causes the people affected by it to be unable to 'tune' into the non-verbal communication signals that we all send out and as such be unable to connect emotionally with others, and in many situations be awkward or unable to cope in social or personal situations.

So if we take the example of an alien who has come to earth from a planet that has no concept of emotion or sub-conscious communication, How would you explain a emotion to this alien, how would you explain love or fear? Remember this alien knows nothing of emotion or anything like emotion.

-The lion enters this apartment thru the only door, so if you try to escape out the door the lion will kill you...
-There are no kind off fire escape you can use, and if try to climb out a window you will fall down and kill yourself..
-This lion is hungry, and it will make a meal out off you first chance it gets. It's a really strong lion, so if you try to hide in another room behind a door, the lion will break the door and eat you..
-You have no guns or weapons to defend yourself with in this apartment...
-Your phoneline is dead, and your cell-phones is out off batterys..

If there is no God, but just the here and now, and as such, being prepared for all manner of emergencies, isn't it prudent to include something for the unforseen? Isn't it a contradiction to prepare and not prepare? Can you have no faith in God, yet your faith in nothing, gives faith in God through your non-faith and being prepared? So many questions can arise from this.

I'm really interested in how this turns out.
