No, wisdom is a prerequisite to happiness. Ignorance is blind. The only usage for ignorance being bliss is when something bad is happening and you ignore it, which doesn't make you blissful, just ignorant. Wisdom is taking the good with the bad, knowing that happiness and sadness both pass away in time, but you will gain in knowledge through both of these times.

Sure it is. But it doesn't always have to be. Let's take the stages in aging, for example. As a teenager, we ALL had a stage of wanting to die, being so saddened by the 'realities' of life which seemed so incomprehensible. When you were little, however, you were always happy (so long as you were fed!)

As you grow into an adult, you realize everything you're not aware of, and this is disheartening, too.

But, if you could have all your questions answered, including, "I know I will die and what will happen.." or "I see why I am here to go through with this life.." or so on, you're not necessarily ignorant, but you are very happy, knowing that right or wrong, you don't need to seek answers any longer.

No, a person can be aware of tons of things and still be happy. It's called mindfulness. You usually attain this through meditation and the more awareness you gain, the more happiness you have. But yea, for the most part ignorance can be a good thing, but usually feeling of unhappiness happen because you let things affect you. You can still be aware, yet unaffected, or ignorant and unaffected.

I think most of the time, yes.

I have noticed that people who think about little else than their own little lives and personal dealings are usually happier than those who think about world issues.

You can't help but be depressed if you are a person of knowledge, because then you see in what a poor shape the world is in. You then also understand the corruptness of human nature etc and you are aware of tons of other issues.

But you can't let it keep you down all the time, but overall, you are probably never as happy as the person who is ignorant of such knowledge.
