Can another person's desires contol me into doing what is "attracted" to them if they understand "The Secret."

Because I guess that an oil company or banking giant CEO, or a hypnotist, or an adertising professional for junk foods must really know "the secret."

Am I being too cynical? Sometimes my passion for questioning can get too full of itself...

P taught E law for free, on the condition that when E wins a case, he will have to pay P.
Subsequently E did not take up any cases, hence P sued E for the fees. P reasoned that if P won, E will have to pay, but if P loses, E will have to pay as well, since E has now won a case.
E however, reasoned that if E won against P, E need not pay to P. and if E lost, then there's no reason E ought to have paid P for the course.

the judge dismissed the case back then, and till now its not clear whether this was a real case. what should the verdict have been?

i feel that P should win, and yet lose, thus they are no longer related, meaning E doesnt have to pay at all.

ps - and please, only serious answers are welcome.

My boyfriend and I came across some Iron Maiden music earlier and were reminded of when we listened to hard, angry metal bands. We use(d) the music as sort of release for all of our pent up anger at the world. But we don't listen to that type of music in the same way anymore. Where did our anger go? The world hasn't really changed. Did those conflicts resolve themselves when we weren't paying attention? Unlikely. All those things still make us angry, but our energy is gone. Have we fallen victim to the same thing that eats our parents? Have we ... been beaten?
