One can be seduced by the theatre of one's perceptions. To the extent you process the world in your mind, these conceptions become your property. Just remember that everybody does it, and their conception of you...is theirs. Thus we don't pay you rent, because in fairness, we'd have to also charge you rent, and it becomes a zero-sum game. It's easier, and yields the same result, to dispense with the rent, unless one party is providing a mansion, and the other a mere sleeping room with a sink to pi** in.
