if so, are there any flaws in his private language argument?

also, the reason for his argument is to prove that other minds exist in order for language to be possible, an other reason is to argue against solipsism.

but i have a question. is language still impossible if the solipsist imagines other minds and then communicates with other minds? or id language only possible if there are other minds that are not your own? PLEASE HELP!

when i was a kid in junior high , we had this class bully who would always pick on me and my friends. i stood back and did nothing because my martial arts teacher always told me , karma would take care of him. so one day he was picking on me and my friend , and some new kid who transfered didnt stand for it , and knocked him out , since that day i only belive that if some one dose you wrong you have to take matters into your own hands , and not believe in "karma" i would love to hear your opinions on this!

As I'm someone who either thinks about some things too much, and then hurts people. Yet at times I dont think at all and the same result occurs.
I always try to do right by folk, but I always manage to screw things up.

Maude: What kind of flower would you like to be?
Harold: I don't know. One of these, maybe.(points to a huge bed of daisies)
Maude: Why do you say that?
Harold: Because they're all alike.
Maude: Oh, but they're NOT! Look. See, some are smaller; some are
fatter; some grow to the left, some to the right; some even have lost
some petals. All kinds of observable differences! You see, Harold, I
feel that much of the world's sorrow comes from people who are *this*,(points to one daisy)
yet allow themselves to be treated as *that*. (points to the huge bed of daisies)

From the best movie Harold and Maude

but it also can't be consistently maintained. so isnt the idea that your reality is an illusion is a false beleif. you cant KNOW that people exist but it CAN be shown that the beleif is self refuting and inconsistent.

so is the ONLY reason skepticism cant be refuted is because you cant actualy escape your subjective perceptions? yes or no?

I have thought about this a lot, because if we could find out how to learn than we could all become more intelligent beings.

The principles I work with are as follows:
To learn you must listen
To listen you must be interested
To be interested you must care
To care...welll this is where I am stuck
Why care?

Why do people have the survival instinct? I asked a question about why people fear death, and many people answered that it was human nature. So, whether you are a creationist or an evolutionist, why do you think it is humans are pre-installed with a will to live?

THE BELLY AND THE OTHER MEMBERS
Aesop's Fables (620 - 560 BC) It is said that in former times the various members of the human body did not work together as amicably as they do now. On one occasion the members began to be critical of the belly for spending an idle life of luxury while they had spent all their time laboring for its support and ministering to its wants and pleasures. The members went so far as to decide to cut off the belly's supplies for the future. The hands were no longer to carry food to the mouth, nor the mouth to receive, nor the teeth to chew it. But, lo and behold, it was only a short time after they had agreed upon this course of starving the belly into subjection when they all began, one by one, to fail and flop and the whole body to waste away. In the end the members became convinced that the belly also, cumbersome and useless as it seemed, had an important function of its own, and that they could no more exist without it than it could do without them.

We no longer grow our own food. We no longer walk to our destinations. Cleaning our houses is less physicalloy demanding. We can ride elevators rather than climb stairs.
Is technology to blame for the poor physical condition of Americans. Who do we place the blame on.. Technology or Humanity..?

Hey, it most certainly is.

Not that I don't necessarily believe that a change is occurring on our planet with temperature, afterall these temperature changes have been a pattern of existence from day one...right!

I remain a sceptic when decisions are made behind cloed doors by our trust worthy politicians. This, of course, causes many with business interests to call those who remain sceptic, disbelievers or deniers, stupid - because of the FACTS mannn!!!

Wow! those who remain sceptic raise many questions - what a great position to be in where you can question instead of accepting half truths...wow!

The Sun is 191 x the size of the Earth and we are lead to believe, through political influence and naive, gullible individuals that it is NOT the Sun's temperature that leads and that Co2 follows???

Apparently, it has been said that politicians had no choice, but to go down this road; not based on full-truths, instead half-truths.

WE SHOULD BE VERY VERY WORRIED!!!
