Noone knows this answer, you only choose to believe what you believe.Open your mind and think for a moment. What about all the other books and teachings that alot of people believe in.People were thinking and believing long before the bible was conceived. We are all just apart of a huge universe that just exists. So why were all here we may aswell be good to one another and look after this beautiful place we get to live in.

After the universe came into existence it evolved as an unknowing beast.
Somewhere along it's evolutionary path matter came along, then stars ,then planets, then life.
Some way the universe developed the capacity to become aware of itself we are part of that evolution.
We and billions of other aliens throughout space became the eyes and ears of the universe,
The unknowing beast developed a consciousness.

I'm not going to give you the answer you want either, so I guess no 'Best Answer' for me. There is no purpose to man, we are here by chance, a lot of problems in this world are caused by the belief that we are actually significant in some way (ie religious righteousness). We descended from apes.

Yes, we come from the sun, it is the father of all life from the world in which you live, and the seed or mother is the earth. It too will someday die, but new stars are born, and it is endless. When you die the light you see, is the light of the sun, you are then reunited with what brought you life. Time, Souls, and most of what religion and mankind have dreamed up, is nothing, we simply are, not special at all, like we wished we were.

Good for you KG. I'm thinking it is the Bible. And you serve the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul. And by doing so the people you are in contact with are made better as well as the creatures and things in the world are used for his glory and purpose also.
Blessings and peace.

The answer in the grammar school catechism was, "To know God, to love him and to serve him."
The book which almost everybody has says, "To love God above all things, and to love your neighbor as yourself" And if indeed we all served the purpose for which we are intended, what a wonderful world it woud be!

A book everybody has....hmm....
Nah, I checked it. There's no "purpose of man" heading in the Yellow Pages.
