We no longer grow our own food. We no longer walk to our destinations. Cleaning our houses is less physicalloy demanding. We can ride elevators rather than climb stairs.
Is technology to blame for the poor physical condition of Americans. Who do we place the blame on.. Technology or Humanity..?

Technology is freeing up American time for leisure. It's the culture that determines how we use that time. Many people, tired from work, decide to relax, which doesn't burn much in terms of calories. Companies cash in on "helping" us relax with television, movies-on-demand (DVDs, VCRs, etc.), music-on-demand (radios, stereos, CDs, etc.), computers, game consoles, books, etc. It's not that we can't go out and exercise; it just may look pointless when you have all that entertainment right at your fingertips.

business make technology. think of the companies that are supplying our food. I am a runner but I also drive a car and wash my clothes in a washer or dryer. some Americans are lazy by default. even in the land of technology, there is no law that says you cannot grow your own food, manually wash your clothes or clean your house. its still a choice. America is just fast paced is all
