As I'm someone who either thinks about some things too much, and then hurts people. Yet at times I dont think at all and the same result occurs.
I always try to do right by folk, but I always manage to screw things up.

hi there you are hurting yourself inside and and you feel the need to unlease it on everyone around you even those closest to you maybe them more so , what ever ghosts you have from your past you will need to lay them to rest before you can stop hurting other people and so you can stop hurting yourself because in a way your punishing yourself over and over again by hurting other people cos after you hurt them you then hurt yourself , hope that helps a bit i used to be in the same situation myself.

If what you say is true, you gave some possible answers yourself.

By over or under analyzing, you might not be doing the most appropriate thing under the circumstances. But this probably isn't always the case.

On the other hand, a few people have trouble accepting help or advice graciously. This can be a problem if you feel obligated to offer assistance when you deem its required. I find that when dealing with individuals whom might fall into this category, its best to ask them first if they want assistance or advice. If they say Yes, then they are willing to accept what your input and at the very least, they "asked for it".

Being very subtle (but not vague) with your advice or assistance can be helpful also. (I.E. - Mastering the art of persuasion.) By using an invisible guiding hand approach, instead of a direct assault solution, you can get your point across without being so obviously involved in the fallout of your advice. This is especially helpful if things didn't go so well for the person you assisted.

The MOST important quality the advice giver offers is not being emotionally invested the situation the needy person maybe involved in. We tend to make more logical and informed choices when not emotional. If your feeling emotional, self doubtful or confused yourself, it may not be wise to give your "piece of mind" or you may lose your "peace of mind".

If you feel like your hurting people then that's probably because your doing stuff that's hourtful to them. Take a moment and try to remember what you've done the past week or so. See what you come up with. If nothing comes to mind then perhaps your delusional and need some professional help.

You are over sensitive. I was that way when I was young.

Part of these feelings are your own personal lack of confidence. You over analyze things. I call this paralysis-analysis. You just over react to things.

When you have more confidence you won't worry so much about what people think or that you did something different than someone else would of.

do you really hurt them or are you just thinking that they could do better? are you too obsessed with others problems and not focusing on your own? finally, do you have a mental health professional that you can see about this?

Sounds like you need to build your self esteem up and quit worrying about what other people think.
