Often times, the people you're referring to (the ones who dream and nothing happens), do not visualize correctly. These people will have a deep-seated belief about whatever it is they're wanting that is keeping it from coming to them. If someone wants to find love, but deep down doesn't feel worthy of it, believes that they'll never actually find it, or believes that they are destined to just "dream" about it forever, then they'll never get what they want.
The idea is to KNOW that if you just spend the time visualizing and capturing the FEELING of whatever it is that you want, it will come to you. You must pay attention to your beliefs and notions about whatever you're trying to create. Make sure that if you're wanting something like a new car, but your logical mind keeps trying to convince you that there's NO WAY you'll get that new car, then visualizing becomes pointless.
You have to cleanse your mind of irrational fears, open your heart, know that what you're doing works and poof! You'll get what you want.
I have created many things in my life intentionally. I wanted a new apartment, so I wrote down everything I was looking for and spent time getting excited (as if to suggest that it had already happened), so with my positive attitude and excitement, I found the PERFECT apartment, I couldn't have asked for more. Do you see what I mean?
It's all about releasing your fears, knowing and getting excited. The moment you ask for something, the Universe puts the wheels in motion to bring it to you, you just have to remain open and in a state that will allow the Universe to deliver it to you; this practice is called the Art of Allowing, in other words, being OPEN to receive. If you ask for something and then you just go back to old beliefs and habits, you are not aligning yourself with what you want and you will not get it... and it's not the Universe's fault. When people don't get what they want, it is because they are not a vibrational match for what they want. This is referring to the Law of Attraction. For example, a miserable person will not attract a happy, outgoing partner. A person who believes that nothing good ever happens to him will not recognize when opportunities come his way. You have to be aware, conscious, open, and positive. "BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD" -Ghandi. That quote couldn't be more true, and remember, the change doesn't have to occur for the whole world, this quote applies to YOUR world as well.
I hope I didn't complicate this for you. Peace!

Visualization is simply a tool to flag, or be on the look out, for certain occurrences. If you are visualizing about money, then you will be more aware of opportunities that arise that could help render your visualized goals. Think of it like the texture of a stone. If you place a piece of wax paper over it and rub it with a crayon, the raised bits will be darker and more pronounced. Likewise, when you visualize you are making a "texture" in your mind so that you will be more aware of opportunities when they arise in whatever form. But action is alway part of it, the visualization only helps you to recognize the opportunity.
It's the same mechanism behind pessimism and optimism. If all you think are self defeating thoughts, you will of course always be defeated.

People will never find their love unless they start doing something for that. As to the success - it's not the same as luck. Success is work. Lots of work done in the right direction.
Positive thinking keeps up our energy. Negative one lets it down.

If you overindulge in a thought, it loses it's appeal. A lack of enthusiasm can make people totally abandon their dreams for the future.
