Maude: What kind of flower would you like to be?
Harold: I don't know. One of these, maybe.(points to a huge bed of daisies)
Maude: Why do you say that?
Harold: Because they're all alike.
Maude: Oh, but they're NOT! Look. See, some are smaller; some are
fatter; some grow to the left, some to the right; some even have lost
some petals. All kinds of observable differences! You see, Harold, I
feel that much of the world's sorrow comes from people who are *this*,(points to one daisy)
yet allow themselves to be treated as *that*. (points to the huge bed of daisies)

From the best movie Harold and Maude

sorrow comes from yourself when you're missing something from life, when you fear that you'll never amount to anything, or that your talents aren't enough. it happens when undeserving people receive, and you work and work, and really put your heart into it, but never get anything... never feeling like you've achieve at something. sorrow can come from the sum of the small things, that eventually add up to an overwhelming misery and stress. sorrow can come from your knowledge of knowing that you're truly alone out there and no one's looking out for you or cares if you achieve the things you want out of life. sorrow comes from nostalgia, because things used to be so simple and carefree, but life will never be that simple again. it comes from not knowing where you're going in life, and not knowing what you'll do after you get there. its from stuffing all your troubles, any negativity or anger, all the bad stuff that other's Dealt you, all of it inside... and you stuff it inside and bottle it up until you know if you put anymore of your problems inside of you, you'll brake... you truly won't know what to do.. that's where sorrow comes from

I believe the worlds sorrow comes from self loathing and loss of dreaming. If we all loved ourselves unconditionally then we would love others that way. If we all were big dreamers, then the dreams we had wouldn't feel to big, they would feel average in a world of big dreamers and then the person would work to obtain their dreams because others already succeeded.

where there's happiness, there's also sorrow. without the lows we wouldn't appreciate the highs. without disease, you wouldn't appreciate health. without death, you wouldn't appreciate life. for most people it takes someone else's death for them to truly appreciate the life they have.
sorrow grows on trees. sadly, money didn't follow suit
god was a smart man. or woman.
