large part of what contributes to people's happiness and mental well-being and health in general, however this is NOT my personal expereince. Family is often the source of stress, demands, burdens, and lack of freedom to be who one is, in peace, so unless one has a rare situation of unconditional and accepting love from family members, seems to me that it would be healthier to not have to deal with all the crap of judgements, etc. So, what atre your thoughts?

Honor appears to be completely lost in these modern times... I'm very depressed about this, for if people do not appreciate honor, how will we separate the good from the bad?
Doesn't anyone think it's 'better' to face your enemy than to stab him in the back?

The End of Dreams

When I fall asleep at night, it's like my dreams are life
Filled with demon frights or everything is right
Then, in beams the light, open my eyes again
The clock and sunrise tell me that time was spent
But I, within, feel as if I only blinked
Then zone and sink into my pillow, take a moment to think
If only a link could connect my whole consciousness
Free trade in my brain instead of a cold armistice
Would I still be wanting this world that I wake up to
Would I still ache for you, or would I create a new
Whole place of beauty, just according to me
With the ideal self replacing what I normally see
But seeming as normally as the, or would it be a nightmare
Like a failed heist then being sliced by inmates who don't fight fair
Plight always right there, never can escape it
Like being forced to fight bears unarmed and buck naked
Fear floods, my blood races, but got work, got classes
So I must stop asking questions without answers

Which gets your vote and why?

I say winter because it is so conducive to romance, good food, good conversation, and one of the greatest sensations in existence: Coziness. Not much better than a warm blanket, hot beverage, and good company.

and as a side issue; is it relevant to have this understanding or is it more about the questions than the answers?

This is an academic question, not a literal one. I'm just wondering how much of a psychological barrier we have when we recognize "copies" as being inferior to the real thing, even though they look completely identical.

A pathless country of the Pierides I traverse, where no other foot has ever trod. I love to approach virgin springs an there to drink; I love to pluck new flowers, and to seek an illustrious chaplet for my head from fields whence before this the Muses have crowned the brows of none: first because my teachings is of high matters, and I proceed to set free the mind from the close knots of superstition; next because the subject is so dark and the verses I write so clear, touching every part with the Muses’ grace. For even this seems not to be out of place; but as with children, when physicians try to administer rank wormwood, they first touch the rim of the cups all about with the sweet yellow fluid of honey, that unthinking childhood may be deluded as far as the lips, and meanwhile that they may drink up the bitter juice of wormwood, and though beguiled not betrayed, but rather by such a means be restored and regain health.

Take a razorblade to my head and scratch my eyes out.

Dig until you hollow me out.

Find what makes me tick.

Empty me.

Satisfy me.

Make me physically what I feel inside,

empty,

drained of emotion,

apathetic,

without a care, except a self-loathing.

I am but an ugly unbearable imperfection.

Kill me

Numb that aching, thobbing heart of mine.

Thrust in the dagger that I've placed where my heart should be.

Give me what I deserve

for the pain I've caused,

for the pain I enjoy giving.

For I am heartless,

sadistic at best.

I am the devil reincarnated.

Rip me to shreds

and defile me like the Mussolini I am

Seriously... stop whatever you are doing and think about all the things that exist in the universe. People, love, countries, art, music, religions, hate, happiness, puppies, butterflies, whales, planets, galaxies, stars, poetry, envy, smiles, hot, cold, black, white, loud and low, cumules of galaxies, nothingness, air, water, solids, molecules, atoms, quarks, fibres, cells, blood, mucus, flowers, smells, cookies, optic fibers, the internet, doctors, children, elderly people, letters, paper, and all the things we don't even know about.

Isn't just wonderful? Don't you just feel incredibly humble and small when thinking about this? We are nothing than a small bundle of meat among millions, floating in a little rock in space, not much differently than a small grain of sand lost in the beach...

Isn't just wonderful? How could so many things exist at the same time? And how can they tie up together so perfectly?
The universe is just perfect. We are but a small atom of it.
