you know this question is a lot more complicated than it seems. i've thought several times that i knew what the purpose and meaning of my life was. and i was proven wrong every time. then i found it again, and i lost it again! i think our meaning and purpose has to change as time goes by.

What has been meaningful to me are the moments when I'm just living at that moment, not all caught up in what I want to happen next or how I wish it had been. If I can just be, life is bigger somehow and everything's more possible when I'm not scripting or judging it.

Thinking is sometimes a great evil, because it leads everywhere but now.

In a limited fashion, yes.
It's simply not possible to realize all the meaning even in a single person's life, even if you have the whole context, whatever that might be.

I know of lots of events in my life that, at the time, i couldnt understand, or misunderstood, which now seem so simple, now that I know more about the context of those, but at the same time I know that in 10 years I'll look back on my petty understanding of today, and realize just how little I actually understood.

All of my life is meaningful, just I may not realize it or realize the true meaning of it.

I can write the same sentence and it applies to everyone - all of life is meaningful, just you may not realize it or realize the true meaning of it.

What is life made up of? Work (your contribution to society, your family, yourself), Family, Children, Friends, Relationships, and Fun (Culture, Entertainment, Hobbies, Travel). Well, I can't think of everything, but you get the idea. Inside of all these pieces, we put our meaning. I always think our meaning should be to learn, develop, and be the best person we can be. So, in other words, it's not the actual events of our lives, it may be how we deal with these events that shows the true meaning to us.

Beyond 'love' which seems to be a dominant theme here, I'd say what I've found as the most meaningful thing in my life is BALANCE. You can have love, but if you do not have a job, how you express your love? But, if you do not have fun, you will loose the ability to love.

I am still working on that...I am just 25 but I have already some tips about life's real meaning...
It's friendship, love, passion...but it's really hard for some people to make them life meaninful...
I am having a hard time on that, because it's senseless discovering life's meaning and not change our mind to achieve that goals...
It's very hard changing ourselves minds...but I am trying...someday who knows I get a better person

Having good relationships with people and simply going with the flow of things. Of course a few long term goals are good, though having people there to support myself is all I could really ask for at this point.

gosh no . as a child and teen my priorities were so far out of wack. i had no idea what it would be like when i was grown and what things would become life altering and meaningful to me. it took learning that i was infertile.....to realize how badly i wanted a child of my own. it took loosing a loved one to realize how important my family really is. so sad what it takes in this life to learn its lessons.

Maybe not in the eyes of someone else.....

we are all given to wisdom on some level and not all are given the same understanding........ The degrees at which we understand differ and it is good..... So, some teach, that we may get to where they are in this way.......

But, to me... what I have learned and what I have gained from my youth, I can say, I understand alot more....... and am greatful for this capacity of reasoning....

what's been meaningful is to always remain true to my heart because with that comes internal happiness. it's also important to understand that no matter what you go through in life, it is only temporary. things always work out.
