I already know how to read music and I know a ton of music theory and all that; I don't know how to form chords or assemble them into songs.

I want to learn pretty quick to play as if I were going to play in an Indie band.

I'd like to hear different methods of how people learned well.

P.S. I already knwo rhythms and everything: i play drums and piano.

Because I've been putting off guitar lessons for this very reason. I fear I may lose some of my "touch" for piano if I do condition my fingers to play guitar. Am I nuts or is there actually a right or wrong way of doing it or whatever? Any suggestions would be helpful!!!

There is, " …a danger inherent in all secretive societies for their cellular form devised by the founders for the security of the movement, can as readily be used to 'hoodwink' the leadership, who thus become unwitting 'front men ' for activities they would never countenance." I was at a friends house a day or 2 ago and he had a electric guitar and I tried to play it but had no luck but am really wanting to learn how to play. I dont have one of my own but I have lots of friends who play but seriously play too much to lend it out. I was wanting to buy my own but didnt know if online or in-store was better? I dont wana buy something online and not get what I thought I bought but I dont wana feel stupid talking to a guy at a guitar store who probably knows everyhint about one. I have played guitar hero 1, 2, and 3 and fell in love with guitars and am fairly good at it (4 starred beast and the harlot, six, yyz, and carry me home on hard). if guitar hero helped at all, im in good shape. ifit didn't, im pretty much screwed. Any help at all would be nice. I would prefer a black one with the whammy bar or if I can just simply attach it to any guitar I can get one off a friend. hope someone can help me out

I have been singing my entire life and continue to do so now. I am in the advanced choir and in musical productions. I don't like feeling that my throat is sore everytime I get out of a class. I know I need to work on my breathing but I don't know how?

I know everything about how the music field requires endless practice and work, but I'm so concerned about feeding myself.

Sadly, the second-fiddle passion of mine is becoming a stage actor so if I minored in anything it would probably be theater.

Yeesh. I'm gonna live in a box, huh?

Any recommendations? I'd like one that shows you how to play the scales and has the fingering chart in it.

If I had an acoustic guitar amplifier with 2 separate channels running on 50 watts per channel, could I plug my guitar through my Di box (or preamp) that has 2 outputs, and then run those 2 outputs through both channels on the amps, thereby using both channels at once and use 100 watts at once instead of just 50? Basically I want to use both speakers on the amp at once to make the sound louder instead of buying a bigger amp. Whereas if I plugged straight into the amp I would only use 1 channel. Is this Possible? Thanks
