I have some college auditions coming up and am looking for an upbeat song from a musical. I need a monologue (which I already have) and 2 songs (one slow and one upbeat).

I'm looking for something fun but that also is not overdone. Some of the songs I considered using are:

Ckimbing Uphill from The Last Five Years.
I took this song to districts and got an excellent on it. I'm not using it to audition because I was strongly advised against using Jason Robert Brown songs as they are too complicated to play on the piano unless the pianist has had time to get familiar with the song.

If You Hadn't (But You Did) from Two On The Aisle.
The reason I'm not using this is for the simple reason that the music is out of print and it has been pretty much impossible for me to track down.

So! Any suggestions?

Like saying if you're a baritone, tenor, alto, etc?? Also, I've seen those notes that are like...a letter with a number next to them...what does that mean?? Please don't think I'm stupid or something, because I've never had professional music lessons or assesments or something like that.
