Just wondering because all throughout elementary school and all through highschool the instructors told us that french horns were not marching insturments. *i don't play the french horn, i just saw during the rose parade people marching with them and it looked strange*

Happy New Year everyone!

There's a particular song I like to sing quite a lot, and I recently found the sheet music for it. Just for reference, what vocal range was this written for? Here's the music (without text as the lyrics were originally in Japanese), in PDF format:

http://ichigos.com/content/music/pdf/fushigiyuugiitoshii_hito_no_tame_ni.pdf

and the original opening from which it was transcribed, performed by Akemi Sato:

I sing this much lower than she does, but it's a great song and I have no trouble with it. Thanks so much!

I'm a seventeen year old high school student and I am extremely interested in becoming an actress. I took an Acting Workshop class at my school two years ago and I got a 90% A and the teacher said I have "Stage Precense". I've been interested in Acting as a career since I was five or six years old.

So, my question is this: What should I do to pursue a career in acting? I live on Long Island (close to NYC). Should I print up a resume now and take headshots after February (when I get my braces off) and then go on auditions over the summer?

My aunt says I should go to college, which I want to, but I want to make sure I've exhausted every effort to become an actress first. So should I take a year off to pursue acting and then go to college?

I am not sure on weather or not I should get an acuostic or electric guitar. In my opinion I think I would be playing/learning more songs that were played with an acuostic, however there are some songs that I think would be fun to do with an electric.

I have not started playing so I don't need a highly expensive guitar. Which one should I pick?

i played guitar for about 10 years - was never any good - dropped it for about 3 years - and took up violin / fiddle - ive played violin for about a year now - i recently started messing with guitar again and redeveloped my callouses - it almost seems that my violin playing has suffered due to this - is that possible ? does the lack of finer senses on my fingertips make it harder ? or am i just going through another phase with the violin where im gonna suck for a while and then get better again (its a fickle instrument) - please experienced players only

The only reason I can think of is that they lack confidence or fear criticism. I don't see why this should hinder them, though, since criticism is a generally a good thing. If so many people lack confidence, then is the matter cultural and not personal?
