Yes, of course. She has been a great hit on Broadway, winning the Tony Award for best actress in a musical, for the role of Kim in "Miss Saigon"; She has been hailed for her singing in the revival of "Flower Drum Song". I especially liked her in her singing role of Eponine in "Les Mserables".

Her records have been well reviewed.

But I think the roles she will be remembered for are roles she is not even thought of :Most kids know her by her voice, if not her face, having sung the roles in the animated Disney classic films Aladdin ("A Whole New World"), and Mulan . :

Lea Salonga is best know to Broadway or Disney fans in the US. In 1989 she was given the lead role of Kim, in "Miss Saigon" in London (where she won the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical). She followed the production to Broadway where she wowed American audiences and took home the coveted Tony Award, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for the same role.

In 1993, she played the role of Eponine in Broadway's "Les Miserables". In that same year, Lea provided the singing voice for Princess Jasmine in Disney's film, "Aladdin". She performed the song, "A Whole New World" at the 65th Academy Awards, where the song won the Oscar. She again impressed Disney fans providing a voice to the title role in the animated film, "Mulan". She again added her voice to portray Mrs. Kusakabe in Disney's 2005 redub of Hayao Miyazaki's "My Neighborhood Totoro".

American Soap Opera fans may recognize her from stints on "As The World Turns" (2001 & 2003) where she played Lien Hughes.
