I'm going to start reading Hemmingway's The Sun Also Rises today is there some things I should know about Hemmingway before I start reading? I'm fourteen by the way and my mom said I should wait until at least college year to read it (when she read it).

I'm writing a paper on the roles of the insane and the ignorant in Shakespeare's Macbeth and Hamlet. my thesis is that even though they tend to be comical they are actually very important. The problem is I can really only think of Hamlet pretending to be crazy....

I'm writing a series of science-fiction books where the main characters an M2F transsexual and I came up up with the name of her spaceship before I decided her character and all I'd thought about was making her feminist at the time so I wanted the ship's name to mean feminine so I looked in the thesuarus and came accross the word "Effeminate" and I just thought it meant feminine and not that it meant feminine man, so I named the ship that.
Do you think I'd be ok naming the ship "Effeminate" seen as the main character owns the ship and is an M2F transsexual?
(The ship was actually built before her transition according to the book so she was technically effeminate at the time it was being built as she was still a boy)(in the books you only ever see her life after the transition but it doesn't focus too much on her being transsexual anyway as it's about a war and not about her being transgendered but I don't want to offend anyone and I've been told that's easy to do)

I am currently doing research on authors - Jerry Spinelli being one of them. I would like to know some jobs Jerry Spinelli previously had, opinions on any job or jobs being unusual, and opinions on how or why you think some job or jobs may or may not have influence Jerry Spinelli's work. Any answers are greatly appreciated. I have a deadline on Monday, December 8, 2007, so please answer as soon as possible. I would also like some resources on Jerry Spinelli.

We know that Peter Pettigrew was in Gryffindor, yet all we ever see from him is cowardice. Why do you think he was ultimately sorted into Gryffindor rather than another such as Slytherin?

Also if you do answer dont just right down like two words really tell me with a good answer!

Thanx

In all honesty, I can't say I liked it.

I mean think about it, throughout the whole series we've read about Harry and his friends adventures as teenagers. That's how we all know him: a young man caught in the middle of something big and dangereous that is his destiny.

Then at the last possible minute, Rowling suddenly transforms them into adults. In my opinion, I feel like we concluded the series in an unfamiliar enviorment (Harry and friends as adults with kids of their own) That's not the way we know these characters.

I feel like the way the story was concluded left us in a state of "umm..okay"

I don't know. I thought it the ending was rather rushed and clicheish. What do you think?

Can you tell me how to put a twist on that over-used plot?
