If you like Sheldon you might enjoy James Patterson's books. Some, of course, are better than others in my opinion! Try Nicolas Evan's "The Smoke Jumper". Gee, there are so many good authors and books today. Looking for the latest try watching the ads from Hastings or Barnes & Noble or other bookstores.

Well, there's this one series that I force on everyone . . . It's called the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. It's pretty supernatural - it HAS vampires, but they're not the main point of it. Also, try The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Gothgirl. By Barry Lyga. Tomorrow When the War Began series by John Marsden. Maybe the Artemis Fowl series? By Eoin Colfer. Harry Potter. Obviously. That's all off the top of my head.

I LOVE Sidney Sheldon! I found that Linda Howard was very good. She has lots of books. I think Open Season was my favorite, but she has a lot of good ones.

I think if you love Sheldon's books, you'll really enjoy Linda Howard's.

There's usually tons at the library.

Enjoy!

It would help if you gave your age and interests, but here goes:

http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com

Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, a short review of each book along with a brief summary of adult content. There is also a "Reader's Choice" list of favorite books, and a list of heroine sorcery fantasy books.

Also these: http://www.interleaves.org/~rteeter/grtother.html#great . Lots of lists, but I especially like the Harvard Classics list - all the books that I should have read, but (mostly) never did.

Finally, these: http://www.awardannals.com/wiki/Honor_roll:Genres - pick your genre, find the best books ranked by how many awards they've won.

I hope this helps.

Have you read any Patricia Cornwell books? She is known for writing a series of crime novels featuring Dr. Kay Scarpetta, a female medical examiner. I would start with her first one, Postmortem. She also wrote a book on Jack the Ripper and claims to have solved the mystery. It was pretty convincing to me!
