"In an Yahoo office building, looking westward toward the sea
Theres a Y/A judge a'waiting, an' I know he thinks of me
For he's had his morning latte, and the caffeine seems to say
Come you back, you QA addicts, come you back to me today:
Come you back, bi, straight, and gay,
Pagans,fundies, have your say:
I can hear your keyboards chunkin' clear from Berkeley 'cross the bay
So eat, sleep, and breathe QA
Where both trolls and genius stray
But I'll take your your fecking points off if you break my rules. Good day!"

I'm looking for a new author to read, an author that writes well and can move readers to tears. Books that can make you cry I LOVE. Sweet and touching stories are great, but I also like contemporary romantic suspense so if you know a good book/author please recommend. I've already read all contemporary books by Nicholas Sparks, Julie Garwood, Suzanne Brockmann, Robyn Carr, Karen Rose, and Catherine Anderson.

I'm looking for a book and i don't know the title or the auther. Wel its more like a searies. I know that in each name there is a color. I know the first book has the word Silver in it and i'm pretty sure the second book has the word Gold.

Its a fantasy searies kind of its about a man who is a detective but he lives in a world with elves and fairies and so on but theres also humans as well and he goes around solving mystries and so on. I think its kinda like a fantasy Sherlock Homes.

So if you at least know the author or the name of the first book something so i can track it down i'de apriciate it.

Yeah. So I was bored. :))

Secrets are stories bent and buried
Made to be forgotten.

The world can only hear the muffles of her voice
Yet drown in the tales of their dilemmas.

And it is quite unheard of that an onion will cry
Instead of the one who stole its skin
And erased its existence from the world.

Her heart shall never break its silence
And steal a place in the minds of those
Who could only think of themselves.

The words on the edge of her lips obstructed
By the voices poured inside her ear.

She'll long for gratitude
With a willingness to forget
The knowledge of a thousand rumors,
A million lies,
Each one, a regret.

And her soul could vanish into the breeze
Of the secrets only an egoistic world could tell,
Never having a moment to realize
She was a secret herself.

I do. Even though I don't read much anymore (I'm trying to read more though), I remember reading about teenage ghosts and the sky raining food. These I did on my couch when golden sunlight seeped through my windows as well as during reading class in school.

This was all during a time when computers weren't such a huge factor in my life. Books were the best way to gain information.

You can share some experiences if you'd like. Thanks.

The color was perfect. Dark blue at one end, and an orangey-pink at the other. It was like the sun was trying to take all the color in the world with it, and leaving a mystery of dark shades. I personally love the night. All those secrets, just waiting to be revealed. Or hiding, trying to escape all the nosy people of the world.
I took a picture. The snap of my camera filling the noisy silence. Up here, on top of my mother's apartment building, everything seemed unreal. The beeps and the shrieks of the cars below barely registered in my mind. So the camera's snap! startled me. I looked down at my watch. 7:30. Almost time for dinner. With a sigh, I turned to walk to the door that lead downstairs.
Ever since last June, our elevator stopped working. So anytime I want alone time, I have to walk 6 flights of stairs. At first I thought it was an enormous pain in the butt, but then I got to the point where I almost enjoyed the solitary walk up and down the stairs. Mom hates leaving the apartment because she has to walk down two sets of stairs. Which isn't all that hard, but when she does leave, she normally brings something back. It's really hard on her.
I walked slowly up down the stairs. The walking soothing my raging emotions. Earlier today, my dad called. He probably thought he was doing me a big favor. Uh, no. I don't think so. When he called he kept on correcting me and telling me how to improve myself. I ended up spending more than half the day up on the roof top. Sometimes he makes me so... ashamed. But as I headed down the stairs, I stuffed every thought of him to the back of my brain.
I took the keys out of my back-pocket, and unlocked our door. "Mom? I'm back. Would you like any help with dinner?" I walked slowly into the room. The place was a mess. Our family pictures off the wall. The cushions, slashed down the middle and thrown everywhere. Lamps that were still on, were laying on the ground. I ran into the kitchen

Besides asking your friends for recommendations, how do you find books you'll like? Is there any web site that will tell you "if you liked this book you're sure to like this other one" the way Netflix does for movies? (Amazon.com does this to a certain extent but I find the web site incredibly annoying to navigate.)
