I know this paragraph is too long and I was wondering where to separate it:

In spite of her anger, Collette was spurred to send a secret note right back to Bessie. Collette quietly ripped a piece of paper out of her notebook and scribbled down a message she would not want her mother to see. The waded piece of paper flew through the air before landing squarely on Bessie’s desk. She and Natalie read the note quietly. Afterwards, Collette could feel both of their eyes burning through her golden blond hair and right into her brain.

Thanks.

(What did you think about the writing, by the way?)

I just picked up two of his pieces... "Brief History of Everything" and "A Theory of Everything". Any recommendations on which to read first? I just looked around a bit and see he's got much more out there than the bookstore had to offer. I'll definitely pick some more up, seems like some interesting material...

We find out in act I that Juliet's mother, Lady Capulet, was already married and had children when she was Juliet's age (13 almost 14). Lord Capulet claims that girls that are married too young can be "marred" or made bitter, which could be a refernce to Juliet's mother. When Juliet refuses to marry Paris, Lady Capulet defends her daughter briefly, but then wipes her hands of the situation. Why do you think that Lady Capulet would be willing to allow her daughter to have the same fate rather than sticking up for Juliet?

It's driving me crazy! I can't remember the amount of times I've picked up a pen or opened an empty Word document, and just sat there like a dumb log.

As a Muslim, I am required to adhere to the five pillars of Islam: praying five times a day, donating money to the poor, making a pilgrimage to Mecca, keeping faith in Allah, and lastly, fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan is a religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when God revealed the Koran to the Prophet Muhammad. It is considered the most blessed month of the Islamic year. Prayers, charity, and self-accountability are especially stressed during this time, but fasting is most essential. During fasting, Muslims rise before dawn to eat and pray; then they break their fast when the fourth prayer of the day, Maghrib, arrives. The following passage documents the difficulties and benefits in a typical day of fasting.

In case you aren't familiar with the book, Fahrenheit 451 is by Ray Bradbury in which books are banned and burned if found. (Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper ignites)
A secret faction of book lovers each memorize a book and spend their days constantly reciting and going over them orally, because they cannot be written down.

I am writing a science fiction book.

This girl gets droped off into our world because she knows of few secrets. She knows nothing about this world and this family takes her in. One of the girls who took her in found drugs in her bag, and tells her that they are really bad. (The girl from the other world doesnt know they are bad, in her old world everyone was required to use drugs to calm down) Now she knows how bad her world was.

AHH! What should happen next! What should she do about it! Should she be angry? SHould she be relived that she doesnt live there anymore? Should she trust the people who took her in?!

Thanks!!!

I need to change my job - I think! I have worked for and cared for people all my working life but I want a new challenge whilst I can still find the energy and the enthusiasm. I have always wanted to write but, hubby, kids, job and now grandchildren have taken up my time. I dont even know if I can write - I suspect if I went on a writers course they would laugh at me - especially when I see some of the articles and poems amateurs do write. However, I love writing and have written articles for my work magazine which they always publish, unedited - so where do I start? I Thanks in advance

My mother died, and my father, Captain Crewe, serves in India, so he left me at a boarding school. It was fine at first, but then he died, and left no money, so Miss Minchin took away all my things, toys and clothes, and send me to sleep at the attic. I work as a servant for free, without any payment, I am always hungry, they never give me enough to eat, and I have only one dress to wear. I am so lonely, unhappy and starving! What should I do?

I just need a working title for my story. It's about a girl who looses the love of her life who was her childhood friend. Now she is having to deal with the after math a year later. But the story is mainly flash back, leading up to how he died. It will explain alot thorugh out the book, who he was and his background and the things they did together. It tells you more about the narrorator. It's a story that keeps you in the dark for a long time, only feeding you little by little with flash backs. It's a very sad story.

Have you ever read a book that you only read because there was a lot of hype surrounding it and then found out it wasn’t good at all? If so what was the book?

For example I couldn’t get through the first book of the Uglies series despite how I was assured it was both ground breaking and entertaining

I have written a novel 'Love Floats' and I would like to get it published but it needs editing to bring it up to standard. A good rewriter might would also be useful. It contains about 86,000 words.

I have already read Jeff Shaara's novels and have recently read "Strange Meeting". I am looking for something character driven not necessarily a famous battle (not All Quiet on the Western Front)
I tried doing a search on amazon, but it came up with all non fiction and biographies and such.
Thanks!
