yes i have. I read Moby Dick , a classic and it took everything I had to finish it. It is the most boring book in the world, I believe, and the movie is made from the last few chapters.

"90 Minutes in Heaven" was one of those books. The book was really popular, and when I finally read it I found it to be a bit disappointing. The writing was a little immature, and I don't know if I can believe the first part of the book about the description of heaven.

I half-way had that problem with "The Shipping News" by E. Annie Proulx. I forced myself through the first hundred pages ready to rip my hair out. (I had been staying at a friend's house for a few weeks.) But, surprisingly, I was pleased that I made myself read that way because after that, I was really drawn in. I ended up enjoying the book.

Wow yeah... The Mothman Prophesies (John Keel). They made a movie out of it and we even drove to Point Pleasant, WV to try to see the Mothman. But it is the most poorly written book I've ever read. I started in August. It's only 292 pages and I'm STILL not finished with it as of December.

Yea I tried reading one of the Oprahs book club books cuz they are always "so amazing," but I didn't like it. I didnt like it so much that I don't even remember what it was called. You should try reading Dean Koontz books. One of them I read was about a mans wife who was kidnapped and he had to save her or something. I don't know it was intense, I actually liked it. Right now I'm attempting to read Mitch Albums "for one more day" but I still can't get submersed in it. If you find something spectacular, let me know!

I tried reading the Clique series and I hated it. I also tried reading Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and the Harry Potter Series. I really couldn't get into any of them and I know they are very very popular.

Popular books are for the masses. You probably started to read some book like that except you're 10 times smarter than the people around you and this nonsense was so boring and immature, you couldn't relate to it. You need to read stuff that is INTELLIGENT cause YOU are!

My mom is reading a book called Love In the Time of Cholera. She absolutely hates it. She thought that it would be good because it was so popular, but I guess not.

The Da Vinci Code. The plot sucks and I felt dumber for reading it.

Yes, frequently. After people ask me what I thought about it I tell them that it was probably the worst book written. Haha, what a shame.
