Nope, Stephen Chbosky served as an "editor" of Pieces. So I guess he compiled some of the stories that were included in the book. Although the reviews from amazon.com were mixed. Some liked it and some didn't. Anyway, I too had enjoyed Perks of a Wallflower immensely, pretty cool writing, ain't it? We've experienced most of what the narrator have gone through when we were at his age.
