Books generally won't, but there will often be Recommended Age Levels placed in the back of the book or on the inside of the front cover. They will say 5+, 3-5, Young Adult, 10+, adul, or any number of other things.

I think the only time magazines get rated is if they are naughty ones, which state on the cover you have to be of legal age to by them. Sometimes, too, a magazine will have its target group mentioned in its title... 'Teen People', for example.

But that's not really quite the same thing, of course.

No. Children's books are sometimes identified by age range or grade level or lexile level, but these are simply based on a general vocabulary and syntax level. Books are not rated according to appropriateness of content.

no.... some books have something like "ages 10+" or "ages 6-12" but no ratings..

no, the closest thing to a rating for books is XXX for erotic literature and pornographic magazines.

no unfortunatley not...

that would make a big difference in the way I buy books... have u ever heard of ttyl? the book... it was really bad and i didnt no that so that would make a big difference in my reading experience

they have ratings but not ratings like movies. they rate them by how good they are like they give them the Nobel peace prize and there are other awards like that on books just look for it on them you'll see it on some of them.
