Books & Authors - October 2007

I want to write a story of my youth, and I've even thought of a title, '500 Years In Wander'. A novel that is, a true story of my years as a young teenager -- well, it would end when I'm 17, when we get a roof over our heads. I'm just afraid it will incriminate a lot of people. Especially my parents, my ex-boyfriend and his family, and the health authorities. Even if I change their names, and my name -- would they still be able to sue me if it can relate back to them?
I've even thought of the title of the next book, 'After Wander' haha! but that's still living through my life, so I can't just write it yet haha!

at the end of book 7 during the final battle voldemort looks really shocked when harry asks him to feel remorse. I dont understand why he was so shocked when harry said that....can somebody explain this to me?

I have what I believe is a good idea for a non-fiction "season in the life" type sports book. The story will be more compelling a year from now and I am wondering how to go about seeing if any publishers may have interest.

Can anyone with experience tell me how to get started? Anything from who I would contact at the various publishers to see who to send my submission to and what to include in my proposal. Any type of protocol really.

Clearly I have very little experience in this realm, any further advice would be appreciated.

She hinted on tv today that he had an infatuation with a boy at Hogwarts - but if memory serves all the main characters were 17 and younger-so basically Dumbledore was a Pedophile? And she chose to reveal this AFTER we all bought all the books and movies lol??
(Personally I think it's a bunch of crock-she just thought up the idea after writing the final book lmao)

I have to write a 3-paged story that has something to do with an epidemic. It could be completely fictional, and it shouldn't be based on an actual historical event. The story needs to have a moral, rising action, and falling action. I want the protagonist to be a girl named Susie. I can't think of an antagonist. Anyone have any plot ideas?

i just want to know what you think, im sure alot of parents are gonna be pissed about this, but come on, shes made so many kids happy with her books, how would this be a wrong decision? there are gays in the world, and kids that are old enough to read are old enough to understand "gay", im sure....he was such a great mentor and father figure for harry, so why would this be a bad thing for readers to know? i own all the books, and frankly, i think its kind of funny, i mean, im sure she knew from the first book he was gay, cause she made him! what do you think?
