I'm looking for the full text of Fahrenheit 451. I have tried a lot of times to search but I only managed to find summaries of it. If you happen to know where is it please tell me. Thanks :)

Tom Sawyer matures during the course of the book. Write a short essay, discussing ways in which Tom changes and events thar you believe resulted in his gaining maturity.

I have about 10 books that I have read and reread for years. I've probably read Catcher In the Rye, Walden Pond and The Stranger 20 times each, at least. I have several other books I read again whenever I get the chance. I've had many people tell me it's pretty strange to read the same book again and again, since nothing new ever happens. Is there anyone out there like me? What books are you stuck on? (I don't mean things you read 2 times, I mean the ones you consider your 'bible'.)

I have no idea. I have to write a whole paper on it, and i still need to read it. If you could tell me who you beleive is most responsible for the hysteria and why, so i can read the crucible and have your reasons in mind. Thank you.

in the woods he calls "mushrooms, mushrooms where are you? I want you in my basket, i want you in my tummy!" but the mushrooms hide when they are called. the fox (i think its a fox..) tells him to call for blackberries if he wants mushrooms. so the bear calls for blackberries, and the mushrooms stop hiding so he picks a basketfull!
This book is probably from about 1988 ish. And bought from a school book club (with Button Moon books etc). It is a pre school/ picture books. Possible with still life type pictures in - instead of drawn pictures.

Any ideas?? I dont even know the title or the author!

Many thanks!

I know it's not necessary, but should I?

I've suffered through the movies and literally fallen asleep in the theater during the second film. My fiancee tells me that she doesn't like the movies either but she LOVES the books, so I shouldn't let the movies persuade me from reading the books.

When I ask people they all say that the books advance and get better as they go on. They get darker and more adult. So, essentially, the newest book was the best. My argument is that I don't know if I should read three or four childish and uninteresting books just to get to those later "awesome" books.

Sidenote ~ I like fantasy, so it's not the genre and some books intended for children are some of my favorite, to include the Narnia collection.

I've read Kiss the Girls by James Patterson and then I started to watch Dexter in television. Somehow I sense the similarities between them which I really loved the ways of posing the serial killers and their intelligence and perfectness of their murders. I ordered. Are there any other books or tv series (Like Death Note) of a mass murderer or serial killer is chasing by a genius? Please give your valuable suggestions. Thanks in advance.

According to Myrtle's account of her own death in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, she had hid in a stall in the first floor girls' bathroom because Olive Hornby was teasing her about her glasses. She then said that she heard a boy's voice, and that she opened the door to tell the person to go away, but that she saw the basilisk instead. I doubt she had heard Riddle, because he didn't need to always follow the basilisk around and because he wouldn't want someone to discover that it was him controlling it, but at the same time, I haven't found any references to her being a Parseltongue, on any fansites, the HP Wiki, nowhere. Any help?

It says in HP7 that Gryffindor is a descendant of Ignotus Peverell (Apparently Gryffindor was named after the village, not the other way around.) But how could Gryffindor, who had helped found Hogwarts about a thousand years ago (according to Prof. Binns in book 2) be a descendant of Ignotus Peverell, who founded Godric's Hollow in the 1600s after the International Statute of Secrecy (according to Hermione's research in book 7)?

I love horror, although I mostly stick to Stephen King (as anyone that answered my last question/s will know!) Are there any authors that others would recommend? I'm not too interested in the sci-fi side of things (e.g. I never liked King's Dark Tower series), but I do like a good creepy horror. Any suggestions?

I have not been able to find any thing to prove she actually said it. Is it just a rumor she said that, or does anyone out there know of a place to validate that the really did say that? Not that it really matters one way or the other, just curious. Pretty stupid to feel it necessary to point that out, if she did. What does it have to do with anything? It doesn't come into play anywhere in the book - and definitely not obvious in the book either.
