This is for an ISU i'm doing but I cna't think of any songs. They have to be really poetic but contemporary. Any songs that may have a line or two from shakespeare that you know about? Anything is fine! Thanks for the help!

Anything by leonard Cohen. Sarah McLaughlin and jann Arden are also very poetic. There's a song called "Afternoons and Coffee Spoons" by the Crash Test Dummies...came out quite a while ago...but it's a direct reference to T.S. Eliot's "Love Song for J Alfred Prufrock." Can't think of Shakespeare stuff, but I'll ponder that for a while, as I'm certain there are some. Best wishes.

Try googling some of Simon and Garfunkel's songs...things like Sounds of silence and Bridge over troubled water. Tori Amos may also be something you could look into as well as Bob Dylan.
