Hello, everyone. I have finished writing a modern high fantasy young adult romance novel; the setting is in another planet. My question is, would it be appropiate to include an illustration map of the fantasical setting, or not?

Absolutly, many of the fantasy books that I read have maps. It's fun to be follow the characters travels on on the maps

Absolutely. Take J.R.R. Tolkein for example. He made maps of Middle Earth and even penned a language for Mordor, which are both illustrated in the book. Sometimes knowing which way something is intended to go, such as the flow of a river or the bend of a road, will help guide to reader to what you want them to see, and give them a sense of proportion and proximity.

of course. personally i think if you wrote a fantasy story with the other world (other planet or other realm) setting you must put map(s). it would provide a lot of information for the reader and support the whole story. do it!
Good luck with your book, hope I'll see it in bookstore soon

Most definitely! I think it would add a lot to the story & help the reader "see" where everything is happening. DO add a map!

Yes, if your characters are traveling it might be fun to have a visual reference to turn to to help the reader track their progress.

It would not only be appropriate, it may help the reader in visualization.

If you've done your job correctly it is in the hands of the reader.
