The Electric Koolaid Acid Test by Tom Wolfe
Your Brain is God by Timothy Leary
The Doors of Perception and Heaven and Hell by Adous Huxley
Change Your Brain by Timothy Leary
The Psychedelic Experience by Timonthy Leary

P.S. Note: I have no previous experience with psychedelic drugs; I've never taken them. I am interested in their effects, the acid culture, the revolution Leary led, and enlightening aspects of drug use.

I'm a hopeless romantic, and I'm looking for a good romance book to read. Can you suggest one and give me a little synopsis on what the story is about?

Thanks

My 14 yr old son wrote the following poem for school ( he had to write several) and, being a writer since I was 12, was very impressed with his work. He never wrote poetry before, and admitted that he spent a grand total of about 3 minutes on all of them, but I thought they were great...What do U think?

Living life on the Edge

I live my life on the edge,
Since the age of one, my mother says
The first time I jumped into a pool,
But I couldn’t swim, I’m such a fool
When I got a bit older, I climbed on the roof,
Thought I could fly, really smooth move
I didn’t get hurt on that lucky day
But that never stopped me from trying again
A little bit older, playing football with friends
Said, hey guys watch this, yeah I got hurt again
Thought I could flip like Ozzie Smith,
Almost stuck it, but busted my lip
Later on in the future I probably will
Do stupid things from the top of a hill
Sled with my friends, but not use the sled
That’s my life, living out on the edge.

I, personally, would like to read a story from the perspective of characters like Gunner from "Cell" and the vigilantes from "Night of the Living Dead", but I am wondering if anyone else would actually want to read a book written from the perspective of a character like this.

I mostly just want the main character to play a role that is not too cliched, and any suggestions are welcome. It is hard to be creative in this genre, and help is appreciated.

AND NO, THE MAIN CHARACTER WILL NOT BE A ZOMBIE.

What did all the famous authors do before they sold big? Did they write for magazines or newspapers? Did they sit at home writing whenever they had free time and then all of a sudden publish a best seller?

I have to write a short story for class, but I don't know what to write it about. I tried asking my sister, who is really good at writing, but she just lectured me about how ideas don't just come like that! Do you have any good writing ideas? Make sure it is as close to the present as possible! thnx.

Does anyone have any reccomendations for books like Harry Potter and Eragon? I've tried other fantasy series and novels but they are very boring and don't compete with the Harry Potter and Eragon series. Could anyone suggest a book they might think is as good? Thanks!

This is probably gonna sound really picky, but I'm just so in the mood for a book thst consists of being in a way a horror ((but more like sci-fi as in with GHOSTS!)) and perhaps a little romance ((but a romance between younger teens, not between adults...))...

For all the writers out there: do you revise a chapter a day, or more? I have trouble revising a paragraph at a time. I'm getting really fed up with nit picking every sentence. What can I do? Don't say take a break, because I took a 2 month break already, and I need to finish this.
