Does anyone have any reccomendations for books like Harry Potter and Eragon? I've tried other fantasy series and novels but they are very boring and don't compete with the Harry Potter and Eragon series. Could anyone suggest a book they might think is as good? Thanks!

Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit are great books, that stretch your Imagination. As Harry Potter has done. Even if you have seen the movies read the books they are better.

Have you read the complete Tolkien series? The Hobbit is followed by the Lord of the Rings Series.

The Goremenghast series. "Titus Groan," "Gormenghast," and I don't recommend the third, "Titus Alone." Author: Mervyn Peake. It was on BBC TV several years ago. Rhys-somebody played Steerpike, the villain.
