I agree. Imagine the flurry of activity around here when the book actually comes out. Plot spoilers galore, I'm sure.

Oh, I agree! How about everyone just read other fantasy series' and keep Harry Potter waaaay out of their minds. There have been sooooo many Harry Potter questions - I'm surprised those kids actually know the names of any OTHER books.
And I agree. It's getting old. This is the last book. At least be happy you won't be seeing any more HP questions when the last book comes out. (Maybe you'll have to wait till the last movie comes out!)
But anyways, I agree with Persephone_Hellecat. They should really read other books besides HP because, oh, believe it or not! there are other books that are actually BETTER than Harry Potter. Those kids just need to start picking up other fantasy books and exploring the fantasy world a little more than Harry Potter.

I suggested that over a month ago.
I have an idea. How about all the HP fans pick up the Roger Zelazney Chronicles of Amber series and read that for now? We could discuss it here while we are all waiting for Harry. In the two months left, you should be able to read a lot of the 10 Amber books and they are a great read. They are a level above Harry Potter and it would be a great way for all of you HP fans to find a new series to get involved in for after Harry is gone.
I've read all ten. In fact, someone else is now writing them and there are 2 or 3 new ones written since Zelazney's death, so it's kind of an unending series. I love Prince Corwin. His son Merlin is fantastic too. There are 9 Princes for you to get to know and a handful of Princesses too. It's a great dysfunctional family with lots of laughs mixed in with drama, battles and a lot of other stuff.
Anybody up to the challenge?? Pax - C

Sure. Maybe we should open a discussion site where we could all talk about how we don't want to talk about the next book.

Yup. But it's so exciting we can't help ourselves. I already took off three days so I can read it. Not that it's going to take me that long to read it, but I want to catch up on the other books and have a few parties. HEHEHEHE Live with it.
