The pointlessness of covering for someone, the main charectar is executed with full knowledge that he could be set free if he speaks.

Very frustrating ending, when I realised it would happen, I read the last 100 pages so fast, tears in my eyes, thinking "no, you can't, you have to speak up"

I liked The Broker a whole lot better

It strengthened my opinion that the death penalty, as applied in the United States, is immoral, reprehensible, and disgusting.

prejudice is stupid.......................the death penalty is real.............no matter how ignorant ,,someone you love is you'll defend them
