I have been writing humerous, sometimes controvertial, rhyming poetry for a long time. Would like to be part of some kind of community if anyone knows of any.

I wrote a book called Horseback Dreams. It has 8000 words for kids 8yrs old or 7yrs old. I've had two signings, (going to have a third soon) and I'm going to a book fair in the summer.

I've also met the Govoner, and a few representitives. I'm working on my second book. I'm ten. Do you think that's a success?

I'm doing an english ISU, and the two books that I have chosen are "Thirteen Moons" by Charles Frazier and "The Bronze Horseman" by Paullina Simons. I haven't got my hands on the books yet, but I just wanted to know, is there a similar theme between the two books?

Do you know any publishers that publish books written by kids with over 8000 words?

I have written several types of stories since retiring, more as a hobby because it is fun, and have shared them with family. I eventually wanted to become a published author, maybe even make enough to pay some bills. The agents I have sent the works seem to universally like what I have written but all, with one exception only, want money for some reason or other. This seems counter to my understanding of the process or perhaps I do not understand it well enough. I thought the money was supposed to flow in my direction and not the other way.

I expected suggestions and was ready to change, add, and re-qrite as necessary but did not expect the agents to themselves request monies. I admit that outside of a dissertation which is so called published by the school- after I pay for it, I have published buptkiss.

I have been reading these books devoutly and was just curious if other people out there are as nutty about them as I am. Also for those who do love the series the last book 'Kingdom Come' hits bookshelves April 3rd! If you are nutty about these books like me tell me about it. Did it work in your life? did they lift you up? Did they help you or inspire you to make positive changes in your life? Please tell!
