I finished the book I am the messenger. I'm just kinda confused on the guy who sent him the cards... Who is he and why did he send them. I just got really confused in the end. Other than that it is an AMAZING book. It makes you re-think your life and everyday actions.

Hi, I'm a self-publishing writer; not very profitable, I know, but I love it! Just out of curiosity, if you enjoy writing, either as a career or a hobby, how prolific are you?
I completed a 61 chapter (844 page) novel in about a year and a half. I consider 400-600 words to be a satisfactory day's work, and it usually takes me three weeks to a month to finish a chapter, depending on how long it is. Is this faster or slower than average?

When you are writing a story in first person, how do you write what the person is thinking/saying to themselves? Can't it be just written there without changing it? Because it is what the main (first person) character is think.

Please and thank you!!

How do libraries prevent books from being re-shelved in the total wrong place?

When I was younger I knew kids that did it to be funny, but today at the library i started to wonder how they keep all of those books in the right place>

Has anyone worked in a library and know how they do it?

I am creating a lesson plan on rhetoric to show that how you use language to express yourself is as important (if not more) than your specific message.

I am using "I Have a Dream" because it is a masterpiece of rhetoric.

I am looking for either
1.) a parody speech, using the same powerful structure on a more inane topic (have a dream of no homework, I have a broccoli etc.) or
2.) a writing that expresses the same views but by using more bland, non-powerful language.

If you have any such thing, I would greatly appreciate it.
