Idiots...the second best selling book in the world would the the little red book, by Chairman Mao.Then comes the Koran, or something.

I think the reason Harry Potter sold so well was because it appealed directly to a wide audience. The way the book was written made it seem like the best book ever to kids who loved magical worlds, teenagers and adults who wanted a fantasy to escape to every time life got them down, people who like to see appearances of references to mythological elements in the things they read, people who like to read adventure stories with hints of mystery to them, and people who like to read books with allegory in them that indirectly relates and comments on real life situations.

I'm sure there are PLENTY of Harry Potter hate clubs out there. A LOT of people really really dislike Harry Potter for a variety of reasons.
Some people think it's childish, a media tool that companies capitalize on to get money, and do not think it has any reading value.
Some people who are religious think that the use of magic in the books is blasphemous and offensive.
Some people do not allegory. Allegory is the use of a story that is about some strange fantasy setting far off from the regular world that is meant to be taken metaphorically rather than literally.

The use of allegory is to show a different point of view to a well-known issue in the real world and to show that this issue or fact can analogically be related to many different situations that are made up and exist only in the fantasy world.

I actually like Harry Potter to an extent and understand why there is a lot of hate directed to the book. I think that too many people nowadays have a lack of tolerance and have trouble understanding important concepts like being able to see things from many different points of view.

People cannot judge a book and truely hate it unless they have actually read it and understood its concepts.

Chairman Mao, was a sick, twisted dictator that needed torturing so he could experience just a little of what he gave to everyone else. The man (if you can call him that) was evil.

And for that stupid religious fanatic. Your so called 'God' created everything, therefore he created black magic (or at least he created the people that created black magic) So get of your high bloody horse and come and join the rest of us. (and by the way if they use big words you don't understand, use a flippin dictionary!!!! Not to hard is it, or would 'God' disapprove that you were actively looking for something to do with Harry Potter. Oh and just wondering, have you read His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman??? I'd love to know what your views on that book are.....)

Christians have faith genuine magic (no longer David Copperfield) is undesirable because of the fact it rather is an attempt to regulate God and the divine for their very own income. some christians think of Harry Potter will make people desire to learn magic, and that readers of Harry Potter will see magic as a sturdy factor. because of the fact of this they hate it; they don't comprehend that maximum persons comprehend that it rather is fiction and that this Harry Potter isn't any severe risk, besides the fact that if it rather is clever to maintain little ones who don't comprehend that its fiction from examining it. Its the comparable concept as preserving little ones from seeing weapons and weapons for concern that they are going to alter into violent. As for the Bible it rather is a gadget to unfold Gods notice and youngsters can wait to study it till they're sufficiently old to totally comprehend it as lengthy as they comprehend the message.
