In the USA, get a copy of the book "Writer's Market" at the reference desk of your local library. (You may have to go to the main branch.) It will have a list of agents who accept first-time authors.

Outside the USA, ask your librarian what the equivalent book is.

This is a general hint: Even though you go in through YA Canada, YA Australia, YA UK or YA USA, all of the questions go into one big "pot" and get read by everyone in the world who speaks English. Most of the people here are in the UK and USA, but you sometimes get questions and answers from people who worry about kangaroos eating their roses. So - put a nation. It will help people help you.

To get an agent it helps if you take a writing course, at a university, or elsewhere, where the teacher is a published author and is willing to share everything there is to know about writing, getting an agent, publisher, etc.
Many universities and community colleges offer a course.

As a former "Reader" at a Literary Agency, I know chances are slim of getting one of the Literary Agents to read your manusripts, unless the "Reader," thinks your manuscript has merit and passes it on to one of the Agents. Don't send the entire script, only a synopsis. Enclose a "self-addressed" stamped envelope so your material can be returned to you.

No short cuts here. You need to go to a book store or Amazon.com and buy some books on how to sell a book. It takes about as much effort to sell a book as write it. Read up and get cracking. Start writing your second book as you market your first book.
