I read the books in high school long before they made the movies. I am just wondering for someone else...

Sometimes I think the whole world has gone crazy, but then again maybe it's just me. Everyone wishes for the perfect life. Some people get it, I'm not one of those people. I was sitting on a plane as it soared over the glistening water of the vast Atlantic. London, England is where I was headed. To live with my dad whom I had visited every summer since I was four years old. I'd been to London every summer for thirteen years. I love London, I truly do, but it just isn't the place for me. I don't feel like I will ever get my perfect life, or my happily ever after there. The busy streets, the brain-racketting noises, they're great. Except you get used to them, maybe even too used to them. I really didn't know what to expect in London though I had been there for a month, every year, for thirteen years. Even though it seemed like I had it all worked out in my mind, London was so different from Phoenix.

I just got into ebook reading on my pocket pc phone and I have to say it's pretty awesome. I'm reading three books right now (Im ADD!), but I'm looking to buy some more ebooks. What kind of books should I read that are a must read/best seller's list. Interested in technology, business and current events as well as history.

I recently discovered that someone from my past is working on a book about their life. This person isn't famous or anything, but is very ambitious. I wouldn't be surprised if they were to get their work published somewhere, even if it's on a small scale. I know what my side of the story is when it comes to our "relationship",and yes I too have written about it, but have never mentioned names and have always tried to keep the focus of whatever I told more on me than on them. Since I have never read anything yet that they would have to say about our time together, I can't be too sure that they would do the same as far as 1. being honest and 2. not using my real idenity. So my question is, if they do end up saying quite clearly who I am, (if they get published or if I get mentioned at all), is there anything that I could do about it? Should I even try?

If you are a book person, and you purchase books fairly often (at least once or twice a month), do you ever pay attention to book ads? If so, where do you notice them? Magazines? Newspapers? TV? Radio? Online? E-newsletters? Mailings? Do these ads influence your purchasing decision? Do you become aware of a book because of ads that come your way, and do you go and look at a book in a bookstore based off an ad that you saw? Thanks in advance for your help and feedback.
