It will be published on July 21, 2007 at 00:01 BST in the UK & at 00:01 in the USA. Also at 00:01 BST in other English speaking countries around the world.
There was some speculation that it would be released on 7/7/07 being the 7th book & all, but it turned out that this would have meant rushing the writing & editing. Neither JK or the publishers wanted that, so this date was not chosen. I think you'd agree, we want the last book to be worth the wait. I'd rather it be well worked than rushed to achieve a special release date.
